Operations Manager

Clemence Rogers are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to be based in Doncaster.

Key Responsibilities of an Operations Manager:

• Establish manufacturing improvements to ensure production and process outputs are increased

• Manage, recruit and scale the business in line with business needs – projecting large scale growth in the next few years

• Manage the smooth running of the production department, ensuring products are manufactured efficiently and meet the company’s high standards in quality

• Assess and review staff performance, offering feedback, both constructive and positive, to support the professional development of team members

• Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organisation standards

• Ensure that all equipment, materials and supplies are readily and continuously available to carry out production processes

• Work with the H&S department to develop or update Standard Operating Procedures, Safe Working Procedures and best practices for production operations

• Maintain effective communication with other business areas to ensure smooth running in all areas of manufacturing operations.

• Work closely with Maintenance and Engineering teams to ensure machinery is in good working order, reporting any breakdowns or quality issues immediately

• Effectively manage personnel within the team

• Conduct team briefs to clearly communicate targets, achievements, improvements and business change to all team members

• Manage departmental issues and queries, escalating to Senior Management as required

• Ensure that sub contract suppliers meet requirements of the business, meet delivery dates and adhere to company standards

• Communicate and connect contracts and production and other departments of the business

Ideal Candidate for the Operations Manager role:

• Looking for someone with a production background and experienced with a track record of managing change in the business

• Passion for delivering the best customer service

• Proven management skills at all levels

• Delivers the very best in health & safety

• General administration duties in line with company policies and procedures.

• Strong organisational, time-management, interpersonal skills

• Good communicator – both verbal and written

• Ability to work with people at all levels within the company and the customer’s organisation

• Good presentation skills

• Competent in Microsoft Office.
